Perfection abounds in this gorgeous 1950-1960's era ring comprised of an artistic hand crafted 14K yellow gold setting, high quality Mediterranean coral and delightful emeralds, the birthstone for May.

No woman can resist the allure of emeralds, the world's most valuable gemstone! Weighing in at 16.8 grams with Italian master craftsmanship from every angle, they do not make them like this anymore!

This unique ring offers a perfect specimen of Mediterranean angelskin coral in a hand cut and polished cabochon with uniform soft blush hue without flaw or natural fissures. The flawless cabochon is natural and untreated, and a fine example of Mother Nature's best.

The 21x14mm cabochon is secured in a combination prong and gallery setting and rises off the finger an amazing 18mm, or just under 3/4". Both unique and eye catching, the setting features a multitude of 2x3mm gold rectangular boxes in both high polish and Florentine finish with twelve (12) five point genuine emeralds encased in the high polished boxes. Total estimated emerald carat weight is .60 carat. Each box is poised at varying angles so as to dramatically capture the light. Each emerald is set in a deep box bezel along with four prongs for security. Absolutely magnificent! The bed alone measures 3/8" thick. The entire face of the ring measures 26x22mm (25mm = 1 inch). The heavy wired undergallery perches above a wide shank measuring 5mm wide by 1mm thick. This finely engineered design gives great support to the remarkable ring and is very easy to size up or down without limits. (Many rings can only be sized up or down 2 sizes). Total weight is 16.8 grams!

In its original size of a 6.5 U.S., the band is stamped "14K". Due to the wide width, its current size best fits a size 6. Ring sizes are standardized based on a 2mm band and the wider the band, the larger fit requirement. This ring is so well balanced that it supports the stone gallery without movement from side to side.

Neither pink or white in hue, this warm blush variety of angelskin coral is a perfect color for all complexions and coordinates nicely with any coral jewelry. It is a great match for our recently listed 14K large bead coral necklace and earrings, Item RL-00778.

Locating great natural coral rings accented with precious gemstones is a rare delight for us. Emerald accents are the most rare combination with coral and these are deep green not grass green shade, which makes for a fabulous color play rising dramatically off the finger. All 12 emeralds are nicely matched and secure. Perfect emeralds are the most expensive gemstone, but also the most included. These stones are very clean without inclusions when examined with a 14X loupe.

The emerald is the birthstone for May. The Romans considered it to be the talisman of the goddess Venus, and to represent faith, goodness and kindness. The emerald gemstone was Cleopatra's favorite and sure to please the queen of your life. Both coral and emeralds are the 35th wedding anniversary stone.
