Antique Silver Mesh Purse

I'm sure there's a name for this type of purse, but I don't know what it is! It's shaped like a hot water bottle, with a round cap, but when you open the cap, the purse opens way up. I think there may have once been a small, round mirror in the cap. There are no markings, but I think the cap is sterling. The bag material is made of a very soft and flexible silver mesh like material, and there is a silver chain that was probably meant to be worn on a wrist. The lining is a little dirty, but has no tears. It's held to the expandable metal top frame in several places. 3 of these attachment points are disconnected. This doesn't affect the stability, or looks of the purse. When fully expanded, the opening is 4&1/2 inches wide. The total height is 7 inches.
