This is one of the first tin cars made by the Louis Marx Co. in the U.S.A.. The company grew by leaps and bounds, and later moved their manufacturing overseas. The logo on the side is, "Marx Toys Made in the United States Of America". This car measures 7&1/2 inches long. It's pink, with detailed lithograph graphics on the car. Boy, for a s small as this is, it puts out quite a sound! It measures just under 1&3/4 inches long, and has great lithographs on the front of an owl. Mint i the original box, 1950's plastic baby stroller. Doll house size, measuring 3 inches long, and 2&3/4 at the highest part of the handle. The baby, too, is plastic, and fully jointed. It's not original to the stroller (no baby was originally included), but I am including her because she's so darn cute! The box is decent, and has nice graphics. Wonderful old sailor made of celluloid, or some other old plastic (not bakelite) that is fully jointed, and moves along a cord. He's on the original card, and I haven't removed him to see exactly what he is, or how he works. There are 2 balls at the end of the cord, and I think he scoots up and down the cord accordion fashion when you pull them. The card has the original hand written price of 29 cents. It looks foreign, says "Stessa Series", but there is no country of origin.
