This platter in Shenango's Indian Tree pattern measures 11 1/2" x 9". The glaze is shiny with only minor scratches from use (visible when held at an angle to a bright light), and the colors are vivid. The backstamp indicates it was made in 1926.

Shenango made this identical pattern (rosy pink flowers like this one) for the New Haven Railroad and with orange flowers for the Pullman Co. This platter has nothing on the back stamp that indicates it was made for either company, so I am assuming it is from their regular restaurant ware line.
