This fine old American Brilliant Glass Sugar Shaker or Muffineer was used to sprinkle powdered sugar on tea cakes or other sweets. Today they are highly collectible and also very useful. Sugar can still be sprinkled as well as talc or bath salts. This one is from a very heavy, thick glass blank. It is deeply cut and appears to be in excellent condition. I don't see any chips to the glass, but there is one small dent to the top. The top is not marked, but It polishes like sterling and the holes are diamond shapes around tiny circles making a pretty pattern. It has a brass reducer on the inside. I have tried to show this in the pictures. This is a very old piece dating to late 1800's , early 1900's. Height: 5 1/2 inches ;diameter 2 1/2 inches.
