This Exquisite Large Size White Opaline Casket is beautifully Enameled on the top of the lid. The enameling is done in a circle around the top depicting blue morning glories with green leaves accented with gold. The center of this wreath features a single morning glory. This enameling is PERFECT! The entire casket is in excellent condition. The base sets in a dore' brass mounting with four ball feet. The lid and base are circled with brass ending on each side in ball mounts with a brass swinging ring drop. The clasp lifts up and to open and close. Clasp, hinge and all mountings are perfect and original.There are no chips , cracks or imperfections that I can detect. Provenance: France, Date:1880-1910, Size approximately, 5 inches wide , 3 inches tall plus mounts.
