Offering quality antiques at fair prices.
This is one of a matched pair of early 19th century Copeland and Garrett ironstone platters. This large platter has juice well and has a deep foot on the bottom. It is in excellent condition , showing wear on the bottom only. It is a lovely Chinese design with strong colors of orange-red, green, yellow and a deep cobalt blue border. The mark is incised and printed under glaze dating these platters between 1833-1847. I also have the big old plate hangers that secured these to the dining room wall and will include this with purchase. This platter measures 21 inches by 17 inches. Provenance- England: Circa-1833-1847
