A very lovely substantial 10k gold locket from 1950. They do not make them with this much gold anymore! It weighs in at 11.1 grams. It is a nice fat locket, the front is covered with beautiful etched designs that are floral. They look like 3 standing irises. The bale is very ornate as well. Just the oval locket portion measures 27 mm tall and 20.6 mm wide. The box chain is 16" around but the bale is large enough to accept any size of chain. Inside the 2 frames are still there. Condition is minty, suitable for gift giving! To buy a locket of this quality today would well exceed $400. Note the lovely sterling locket I have in last frame which is also available.
