An unusually finely crafted Victorian era ring (circa 1880s to 1900s) created in 14k gold. One long deep red merlot hued garnet is capped with dainty seed pearls to form the center of this elegant ring. An all original Victorian ring (not a reproduction) which has a heavy weight of 3.9 grams. Note the fine details on the mount and the interesting claw work.The large faceted garnet measures 11mm x 6 mm. The ring is a size 7(sizable). The condition is amazing, I can see no flaws. It must of been a treasured ring as there are no wear to the stone or beautiful engraved gold work. A gem for any collection! There is virtually the same ring listed on ebay and they are asking $1400!
