Stunning Art Deco Faux Jadeite Silver Cocktail Ring

A stunning Art Deco Ring set with a gorgeous Jadeite or dyed Agate stone. My Jeweler thought it was perhaps Jadeite or possibly dyed Agate, so I have priced it as the latter. Set in silver which is not marked but tests as a lower grade than Sterling, probably .700 or .800 grade, the mount holding the stone is typical of early 1920's pieces. The Ring is probably of Chinese origin.

The Ring is a generous US Size 6 (UK Size L 1/2). The stone set Crown measures 1/2 inch by just over 1 1/8 inches. The shank on either side of the crown is decorated with rosebuds and the back of the band measures 1/8 inch wide.

The Ring is in excellent condition although the shank is slightly flattened in shape, although of course, it does not affect the appearance of the ring, and in fact, I found it slightly more comfortable to wear than a normal 'round' band! There is a small natural flaw in the stone which looks like a crack, but is not. This is impossible to see without using magnification, and is not even visible in my pictures. The Silver has a lovely patina which enhances the color of the stone.
