A long Victorian Necklace strung with graduated Carnelian Beads. The Necklace measures approximately 35 inches long, and the largest Carnelian bead measures 5/8 inch in diameter. The string is knotted between each bead. There is no clasp, but the Necklace is long enough to slip easily over the head, although it is not long enough to be worn doubled as shown in my picture. In excellent condition with no damage to the beads, although of course, being a natural stone, there are natural inclusions ...

A beautiful long Victorian Necklace strung with graduated size polished Carnelian (Cornelian) Beads. The Necklace measures at least 40 inches long - there is no clasp so I cannot open it out to get an accurate measurement. The largest bead measures 1 inch by 5/8 inch. The necklace is strung on the original dark red thread which has been closed off by a small knot that sits at the back of the neck.
