This fine china cup was made by Carlsbad China of Austria in the early 1900's. The cup and saucer are white china with a pale blue to yellow over-painting. There are delicate transfer-ware flowers in yellow and pink, with green leaves encircling the cup and forming a star pattern on the saucer. There is a gilded leaf pattern around the rim of the cup and saucer and a gold scroll-work pattern on the mustache lip. The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall, and 3 5/8 inches wide; and the saucer is 6 inches in diameter. The set is marked on the underside with the Carlsbad mark and is numbered "45". The set is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, and minimal loss of gold gilding.
Unique gift idea!
