Vintage German Hand Bead-knitted Purse

This absolutely stunning vintage beaded purse dates to the 1920's. It was hand bead-knitted in Germany. There is a tag inside that says"Made in Germany" "Handknitted Seyfang". It is beaded with very tiny gold glass beads,probably a 0/15 or smaller. There is looped, beaded fringe across the bottom. It has a brass frame with scrollwork and flowers; and a brass chain handle.The lining is silk organza and has a small pocket and gathered fancy trim. The body of the purse measures 6 1/2 inches in length with an additional 1 1/2 inches of fringe, and 5 1/2 inches wide. The chain handle is 16 inches long. The purse is in very good condition with some age wear of the lining fabric. There are a few tears in the lining and the tag is not attached. This is a truly wonderful vintage evening purse!
