SOLD Vari-Colored Nephrite Jade Necklace

This magnificent necklace is part of a small collection I've made from the most subtly gorgeous nephrite jade I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The colors may have been enhanced with heat treatment, I am not certain, but the stones are definitely jade. The most sensual colors of golden greens and fruity reds are highlighted and swirled with bits of other shades. These voluptuous gems take the form of graduated beads ranging in size from 10mm to 20mm so this is not a lightweight piece - it feels quite substantial on the neck. Finished with one of my hand-hammered sterling silver clasps, it reaches 22" and the attached extender can take it to 26" long.
