Voluptuous and rich, this piece was composed from my treasure chest of very special beads and components that I only dip into when I am especially inspired. It is a completely unique neck adornment that can never be duplicated.

Organic, domed 10mm olive green freshwater cultured pearls are combined with exquisite 1" long ornamented sterling silver beads and finished with deliciously ornate curved sterling silver tubes. The silver beads and the tubes are hand-made in India and have a reticulated design that is often copied in pieces that are molded and cast. Most of the "Bali" beads on the market are copies of this very old Indian silver craft. To have the actual hand-done reticulation is very rare, so I have hoarded these until now. And this is only in the first strand!

There is also a strand of faceted opal roundels in deep shades of yellows and browns and another strand of freshwater cultured pearls which are tiny and smooth in luscious (dyed) greens, golds and copper. This third strand holds the ancient medallion from the tribal jewelry of India and allows the medallion to be removed. The back side of the medallion is smooth.

The three strands make a definite "wow!" statement when twined together, but each has its own clasp and can be worn separately. Quite a variety of looks can be achieved with this one piece: all three together, with or without the pendant; each strand alone; two together, with or without pendant...you get the idea. It is an elegant 26" long, plus the 1 1/2" pendant, so it will fit any neck and shows itself off nicely with a tunic top or turtleneck sweater.
