Ancient Greek Bronze Coin Jewelry Group with Horses: Bracelet, Pendant, Earrings

Sometime around 300 B.C. an artisan in ancient Greece hand-struck these coins in bronze.... just thinking about that gives me chills! It's so amazing that they are actually still around and that the images of the horses, the artist's concept from long ago, are so clearly visible. They were buried for centuries and by the time they resurfaced, needless to say, the currency had changed! So now these intriguing relics are available to be enjoyed as adornments. Anyone who loves horses or is interested in history will surely adore them.

The bracelet, which has six of the 15 mm coins, is connected by sterling silver links, has an adjustable length from 7 to 8 inches, and closes with a secure sterling lobster clasp. The pendant is one 16mm coin on a sterling silver link chain which is adjustable to any length up to 20", and will also slide off if you prefer a different chain. The earrings are on sterling silver wires, reaching 1 1/2 inches from the ear piercing.

All of the coins have visible horse images, though some are more clear than others, with the earrings having the two most visible. I have tried to show them accurately in the photos. Reverse sides have some very intriguing designs as well.

These are part of my ancient coin collection of jewelry, which usually features Roman coins. The Greek ones from this era (the time of Alexander the Great) are very difficult to obtain, so this is probably a once in a lifetime grouping here.
