This is the smallest pair of Ancient Coin earrings I have right now - the smaller coins are hard to find - and they are also quite thick, which adds a nice depth to the compelling faces surviving on the fronts. Rare and very difficult to find are coins like the ones on this pair of earrings, with faces and Latin writing still there after the passing of almost two thousand years. Hand-stamped by an artisan in ancient Rome, these coins passed from hand to hand in the second and third centuries a.d. before being buried as someone's savings account.
