Are any of you planning a trip to Portland (Oregon) in 2009? It’s a lovely, fun and affordable city to visit...and if you do come be sure to visit me, as well as 200+ other artists of all kinds, at the Portland Saturday Market, a juried artists’ market that is run by the members and has been continuously thriving for over 35 years. This year, though, is a landmark one, as the City of Portland has created a brand-new, modern and scenic setting for our market right next to the river and we have just moved into the beautiful new location. We’re there Saturdays and Sundays, rain or shine, through Christmas Eve. Though I'm only in my fourth season as part of the market, I feel so fortunate to now live in a city with a community of artists and aficionados, and that is part of what inspires me to keep creating beautiful things. I’d love to see you in person! Until then, we can visit here on fabulous Ruby Lane.....

Bright Moon’s origins: My jewelry road began with travels to various parts of the world where many of the beads and design centerpieces that I use originated, and I was fortunate enough
to begin my career designing pieces for the discerning clientele of the San Francisco Bay Area. With so many cultures and styles, attitudes and options, it was a most challenging place
to begin - and I love a challenge.....but I had to learn quickly in order to succeed there.... and,
as a result, for many years I had much enjoyment and fulfillment in the process of making-a-
living-making-jewelry. Now I am a little further north, and still loving the ever-evolving jewelry-
making thing, which is never boring for someone who is intrigued by color, shape and texture.

It is my mission and my pleasure to combine elements in a way that results in a balanced composition with artistic beauty; a piece for someone to wear and to feel that it expresses something about themselves. In essence: communication.

All of the necklace, bracelet and earring designs which I offer to you are completely conceived of, composed and crafted by me, using genuine gemstones, ancient coins and the best quality findings and materials available. You always have a choice of ear wire styles and metal, sterling silver, gold-filled, vermeil or 14k gold. Also, on most necklaces and bracelets the length can be adjusted to suit you perfectly.
