SPEAS U-SAVIT 1 Quart Glass Vinegar Jar C 1920s Owens-Illinois

Glass : Speas U-savit Glass Vinegar Jar

 

This very collectible glass vinegar jar was produced by the Owens-Illinois Glass company in the 1920s. It’s in the One Quart size and has alternating ribbed and clear glass panels. The bottom is embossed with the Owens–Illionis logo and Speas Mfg. Co. U-Savit Jar Trade Mark REGISTERED U.S. PATENT OFFICE which dates it to after 1929. It has an aluminum BALL twist lid with porcelain insert.

Dimensions: It’s 7 ½ inches high x 4 inches in diameter at the bottom.

Condition: There is one flea bite to the rim of the glass but no other chips or cracks. There is a slight dent to the lid and some discoloration to the metal.
