Porcelain : S. Fielding Relish Dish

 

This is a gorgeous porcelain celery or relish dish made by S. Fielding & Co., Stoke-on-Trent 1900-1910. It’s in the “Old Bow” pattern and features a preening bird in the center with smaller birds on either side against pink and green flowers. The bottom is stamped with the early mark "SF & Co. England" with a crown, the pattern name and 192/W612 and the letter N in red ink. There are also the impressed marks 191 E. As you may know, Fielding & Co. later became Crown Devon.

Dimensions: It’s 14 ½ inches long x 5 ½ inches wide.

Condition: There is light crazing, a few discoloration marks and some wear to the gold trim on the rim of the dish but no chips or cracks.
