This is a mustard pot made by DUDSON of Hanley, Staffordshire, England. This company made a high quality basalt pottery and was Wedgwood’s strongest competitor. The pot is sage green in color with applied white jasper decorations. There are two scenes separated by trees. One is of two girls holding hands and the other is of a seated woman. It has a metal lid with a slot that’s marked EPNS.
Dimensions:
It’s 2 ¾ inches high x 2 inches in diameter at the bottom.
Condition:
There are no chips or cracks to the pot. The lid works fine. As you can see in the pictures there is wear to the plating, the worst of it in the front.
Item ID: 5008
