SALE HUBLEY Cast Iron Poinsettia Doorstop Flowers Door Stop Metalware

This is a vintage cast iron door stop by HUBLEY that is in the shape of a poinsettia flower in a pot. There are remnants of a felt pad on the bottom and there are no maker’s marks on the piece. It has a nice weight to it weighing in at over 3 lbs. This doorstop can be found on page 57 of “The doorstop book by John & Nancy Smith.”

Dimensions: It’s 8 ½ inches high to the highest leaf x about ½ inch deep at the deepest point. The base is 4 ¾ inches long x 2 ¼ inches deep.

Condition: There are traces of black paint on the back as well as 3 lines of gold paint. There are traces of orange paint on the flower and green paint on the leaves. The finish on the base is worn and I can’t see any trace of color except that it has almost a golden hue. There is no apparent damage or repair to the casting.
