A gorgeous and large pair of signed Eugene (1952-1962) rhinestone and art glass earrings made of layers of 'Russian ' gold plated brass findings of leaves and flowers with amber and swirling caramel art glass with shades of topaz rhinestones are being offered for your consideration. These beautiful earrings are in near mint condition and appear as if never worn! The clip backs are each signed EUGENE, the hallmark of designer Eugene Schultz. Mr. Schultz's family says he once designed for Miriam Haskell before setting out on his own but Miriam Haskell Jewelry denies this, the influence is very clear whether he ever designed for her or not. There are two shades of sparkling topaz rhinestones; darker pear shaped and lighter round ones. There are also 2 shades and sizes of art glass beads, amber ones which form the three smaller flowers with rhinestone centers and larger caramel swirl ones which form the central flower, centered with a gilded brass filigree flower with rhinestone center. All of the components of these wonderful earrings are layered on 'Russian' gold plated brass filigree bases with other gilded brass leaves and flowers to form large 1 1/2 by 1 inch beauties deserving of the highest honors in craftsmanship and design! The clip backs function properly and on very close or magnified inspection only very light finish wear is notable. An amazing find for the collector and lover of fine hand crafted costume jewelry of any age!
