A set of 4, c.1916 eight inch diameter, shades of lavender & yellow floral plates by Carl Knoll of Fischern, Austria are being offered for your consideration. Each represents an open flower, the petals of which are embossed/blown giving them a very realistic feel and appearance and are hand painted. Each plate is marked with a crown, leaves, CK, Karlsbad and Austria with the numbers 1765 embossed. All four are in excellent condition, one plate (shown in detail and enlarged in the last photo) has a very small glaze flake on the edge which has been touched up at some point in it's past; even knowing that it is there, we have to search for it for quite a while, each time we need to locate it. Light areas of age appropriate rub wear to the high points of the embossing due to stacking are visible on all the plates. Your most prized gourmet dessert recipe deserves to be showcased on these magnificent plates. These stunning plates will make a statement whether displayed or used to grace your table.
