c.1900 Austrian Porcelain CHERUB Scene Vanity/Perfume Tray

A beautiful marked Carlsbad Victoria, Austria vanity or perfume tray with a cherub scene and powder blue embossed scalloped border is being offered for your consideration. The cherub scene in the center depicts a child-like winged cherub contemplating his reflection in a pool of water while surrounded by flowers and foliage with a frog or toad looking on and a winged insect flying over his head. The center decoration is near perfect and the surface of the tray is in very clean and shiny condition with only a couple of very light short marks. The tray measures 9 by 6 3/4 inches and has only a minimal amount of it's gold edging remaining. We can find no chips, cracks or hairlines; there is the era typical specks of iron, dust 'bumps' and glaze pits. The bottom is unglazed and is marked with the blue mark of the Porcelain Factory Victoria, and has the wording Victoria, Carlsbad and Austria, indication production between 1891-1918 and with 2 slash marks which appear struck into the base below the mark. An addition of beauty to any collection or wonderful decorative accent!
