ART DECO Individual American Brilliant Glass Salt & Pepper Shakers w/ Sterling Tops

A beautiful set of 5 Art Deco (1920-1940) individual American brilliant glass salt and pepper shakers, enough for a dinner party of 10 (5 couples) in a ladder and diamond pattern with hallmarked Sterling screw-on tops is being offered for your consideration. The set is in excellent condition having been protected by their wonderful hinged-top mosaic motif decorated tin container. The shakers each measures 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches in diameter at the base; ample salt and pepper for a couple during the course of a meal. The pepper shaker top's holes are slightly larger than the salt's and each shaker has the wording, Pat. Applied for Made in U.S.A. embossed in the base. Each screw on top is hallmarked, Sterling, and they are all in excellent condition; on magnified inspection we found 2 with pin point size dings. The wonderful tin that has been protecting this set does show finish and decoration wear but is not damaged, the top fits snuggly and opens and closes properly. Best of all the salt and pepper shakers fit perfectly in it, the bottom is stamped, Container Made in England. A gorgeous find for the collector or the finest of tableware for your next intimate gourmet dinner party!
