I have collected antique dolls as an avid 'affectionado' for over 20 years. I believe that these dolls created mostly in the 1800's and early 1900's are actual works of art and as such - they should be properly preserved and appreciated. I have always envisioned that these dolls were possibly the fruit of efforts by young starving artists in Europe before they became famous. The quality of these wonderful dolls is unparalleled and to have survived two World Wars and life as a child's play toy, well, it is absolutely astonishing that so many survived. It is a honor to become acquainted with each and every doll. We do not "restore" the dolls - we believe in preserving them and are selling dolls that were purchased into a private collection only.
