This Oak Hoosier kitchen cabinet is beautifully restored and ready to function as the centerpiece of the kitchen, as it was originally designed to do. This model was called “The Beauty” and was made in 1915 by the Hoosier Manufacturing Company of New Castle, Indiana. The original cardboard labels are still on the back of the top and the bottom. This cabinet has lots of storage for your kitchen necessities. Behind the 3 doors on the top are a cookbook holder, a small tin divided tray for holding miscellaneous small items and an extract holder. Also present are the original tin flour sifter and the original revolving spice rack and glass jars with tin lids. This kitchen cupboard has the original sliding tambour doors, and they operate smoothly.

The bottom has 4 drawers, one of which is a tin sided bread drawer. As is often the case, the lid to the bread drawer is missing. Above the large door is a divided silverware drawer. Behind the large door are 2 pull-out shelves, the original pull-out cutting board and a door rack for holding the lids for pans. The white porcelain work top pulls out to give you more space for baking. The original porcelain top with speckled granite edge is still in very good condition. The enamel is not chipped. It’s a great place to roll out dough for pies & cookies because it’s cool and the dough doesn’t stick. It is also easy to clean. The hinges, door latches, drawer knobs, casters on the feet and all other hardware except the Hoosier metal label, are original. The cupboard is 71 1/2 inches tall, 42 1/2 inches wide (including the side brackets) and 28 inches deep (with the top pushed all the way in).
