These Victorian era corbels once graced the facade of an old town hall in Bluffton, Ohio until they were removed during a renovation project. They are covered with layers of old white paint that is cracked and chipped. You can leave them that way, if that's the look you're after. You could also strip the old paint off and give them new life with a fresh coat of paint. It's up to you. These corbels do make nice supports for a shelf or mantel shelf. If you are fond of cottage style gardens (as I am) you could use a pair of these corbels to support a window box or possibly to suspend container plantings from. The possibilities are endless; just use your imagination.
They measure 15 inches tall, 14 inches deep and 6 1/4 inches wide. There is no paint on the back or the top where they were once attached. The old paint is worn and crackly and there are some scuffs and scrapes, as you would expect after more than 100 years. There are a couple of chips and they are visible in the photos. Also, it's a sure bet that the earlier coats of paint were lead based, so keep that in mind. They could use some cleaning up, but they have alot of uses in and around your home or office.
We have a total of 6 of the corbels. The shipping weight is 10 pounds for each one.
