Dunn Bennett & Co. Blue & White Tureen

This beautiful tureen in the ever popular blue and white floral pattern was produced by Dunn Bennett & Co. Ltd of Burslem, Staffordshire Potteries, England. This company commenced production in 1875, manufacturing high quality earthenwares and ironstone for both the English and American markets. In the latter years they became part of the Royal Doulton Group, and eventually ceased trading in 1998 approximately.

Measurements are: 22cm (8½ inches) in diameter and 10cm (4 inches) in height. The underglaze printed blue backstamp shows a crown above the words “Dunn Bennett & Co.Ltd., Burslem, Made in England, 5. This backstamp was first introduced in 1937.

Condition of both lid and bowl is excellent, with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Looks as though it has never been used.

This is a stunning tureen for all those collectors of blue and white!
