English Stuart Crystal Dessert Set "Woodchester", c1930

The Stuart Crystal glassworks of Stourbridge, England produced this beautiful Dessert Set comprising a Serving Bowl and six Stemmed Dishes in the early to mid 20th century. Nine fern leaves have been engraved around the footed bowl and six fern leaves on each stepped bowl of the stemmed dishes. This fern design is called "Woodchester and was in production from 1930 to 1950 - it has been engraved by hand on each piece. The words "Stuart England" have been acid etched on the base of each piece. Measurements for the bowl are: 10.5cm (4 1/8 inches) in height and 20cm (7¾ inches) in diameter; and the dishes are 9.2cm (3 5/8 inches) in height and 10.5cm (4 1/8 inches) in diameter. Condition is excellent on this stunning set.
