English Oak Jacobean Style Dresser c1900

This stunning piece of English Oak furniture was produced at the turn of the 19th century in the Jacobean style. The upper back and shelves are flanked by two cupboards. The base has two deep drawers supported by turned and part reeded legs and stretchers. It has mitre-moulded and paneled doors and drawers, curved moulding on the top and drawer apron and turned and carved front legs on bun feet. Measurements are 153cm (60 inches) in length, 198cm (78 inches) in height and 55cm (21½ inches) in depth. One of the cupboards is missing its lock which would normally be fitted inside - this would be easy to replace. The handle is still there, so all looks normal from the outside. One drawer handle is missing an inside nut to hold it in place - once again easy to replace. Apart from needing some minor attention to two handles it is in excellent condition for its age and would make a superb addition to any décor.
