Victorian Porcelain Cup & Saucer, Hand Painted Anemone Flowers

What a fantastic little Victorian treasure this is, with the lovely Anemone flowers in shades of purple and white with muted yellow centers, and the softly shaded greens and blues. Both the cup & saucer, have nicely scalloped rims, softened with a sponged gold, the handle is also gilded. This fine quality porcelain was made by Redfern & Drakeford who were in business in the Staffordshire area of England, from 1892 to 1933. This precious duo, carries an Rd. mark dating it to 1897, and also the factory Lion Rampant, mark. The condition is excellent with no damage of any kind, even the gold shows no signs of wear. This was obviously a treasured possession and has probably spent it's entire life behind glass. Truly a rare find that will give as much pleasure to its new owner as it did to the last.
