Mounted on a fairly new piece of wood, that would be great finished in black ebony. This gold gilt metal Eagle is in a completely federal style. Appears to date from the 19th century & has spectacular detail. The eagle measures 7 5/8” High x 9 ¼” across the wings. The base is 6 ¾” square. Measurement including base is 7 ¾” High. This little sculpture sure would be wonderful just sitting on the bookcase or fireplace. If you like what you see in the pictures you will be more than pleased to see it in real life!
