19th century very French tiny foot stool. How precious, hand carved wood with gold leaf, the gold leaf is rich & mellow with some red gesso showing in a few places & oddly enough it has only minor wear in the obvious spots that you would expect. The foot stool is upholstered in a classical design fabric in green & gold. The Lady that I bought this from said the fabric & upholstery was done ten years ago. The fabric is such a perfect choice, it works so well with the gold & I’ll just bet it is a duplicate of the original! It measures 15” long x 6” high x 8 ½” wide.
