The Prince of India or Why Constantinople fell by Lew Wallace. Author of “Ben-Hur,” “The Boyhood of Christ,” “The Fair God” etc etc. Vol. I. & II. New York Harper & Brothers Publishers 1893. First edition – Second printing. This is a great two volume set with gold and silver gilt on the front and spine. They have blue buckram (cloth) over board for the binding. There is some shelf wear on the head and tail of spine along with the corners but it isn’t unsightly in the least and to be expected. The pages have a yellowish tint to them. Volume I’s front interior hinge is loose but still very much intact. They have a pos on the ffep along with a date January 1894. There is a newspaper clipping on the interior cover of volume two of The Mosque of St. Sophia. The book is 12mo in size measuring 7”x 5”x 1 ¼”.
