Grand & spectacular Sevres Plate with Portrait of Napoleon. Everything about this plate is special, I love the exciting undulating edge of the plate & the colors are just delicious! And the lavish amount of gold gilding is incredible. The central portrait of Napoleon has the artist signature at his lower left shoulder ”Muville” as best as I can make it out .The plate is marked on the back with the Sevres crossed L’s with letter A .Gold brick mark with “France” and in script “Napoleon 1st”.The plate is in very good condition & measures 9” diameter.
