Tarahumara Indian Pottery Corn Beer Pot. This super impressive pottery vessel was made by the Tamarahumara Indians of Copper Canyon in Mexico. Made in the 20th Century & purchased by a woman from here in Alfred Maine ,who at the time was a teacher on the Papago Indian reservation close by..Accompying this pottery vessel is a few magazine articles about the area & the Tamarahumara People ,as well as a two page hand written letter from this Lady who bought this vessal.The letter explains how she came to acquire this Vessel. As you can see this is truly a work of art in its very natural & simplistic form. What you cant see in the pictures is the power & striking stature of this vessel. Once you see it in real life you will understand .This vessel sits on a custom made shallow bowl type stand & is in excellent condition measuring 21” High x 13” across the body.
