PAPEL AMATE, traditionally made from the bark of the ficus tree in the state of Puebla, tell the stories of everyday life in villages and nature. This particular painting depicts two lovely birds at the top and a two horses at the bottom. Beautiful folky art for that beautiful folky art person, this piece measures 29 x 19 1/2" and is wood framed in glass.

These wonderfully comfortable chairs were made by George Nakashima and were purchased for a friend as a gift from her husband in the early 1950's. A a rare find for that true collector of Nakashima furniture. These black walnut chairs stand 25 1/2 tall. The seat measure 17 1/2" x 19 1/4". There are nine hand carved spindles connecting the back rest to the seat. The arms extend 13 1/2" out. These were popular back in the fifties. I guess if you wanted to make sure you looked your best, you would flip the mirror to see when you did by the photo on the other side. This lady here is dressed quite nicely and if you look very closely, you can even make out her necklace, earrings and a ring she has on her left hand. The mirror is not in the best of shape as you can see in the picture, but the photo, she looks great.

A bit of Folky, this decorative Sessions Clock stands 6 1/2" tall and is 5 1/2" wide. She does work, but has a bit of noise to it as the minute hand turns. Go figure, she's old. A painted gold over wood with decorative flowers. Very folky, very hippie, very decorate.

Signed and numbered by the artist, this lovely gold gilt wood framed lithograph was a great find at a local estate sale. It was purchased at Neiman Marcus, their label on the back. This lovely smaller painting is good to go just anywhere in those areas where a larger painting is out of the question. Lovely colors, with a sense of serenity, at a lovely price. In great condition. The frame measuring 9 1/2" x 7", the actual painting measuring 4" x 1 1/2".

This was purchased some 50 years ago in Spain. It is owned by a woman of advanced years who never used it. She bought it "because it was pretty". A lovely neutral beige/yellow with a colorful embroidered flowers scattered about. This scarf measures, 36" x 36" before the fringe. The fringe measures 11" long. In very good condition.

These very Festive Amberina Candlesticks have a flower design around the top of the base, These would liven up any table. I thinking a punch bowl full of Sangria, orange slices afloat and some nice Mexican Music. Anyhoo. These wonderful little candlesticks stand 2 1/2" tall and measure nearly 3 3/4" in diameter. In lovely condition on top, there are two small nicks or slivers if you will on one of them on the bottom. (please see pic).

Such a pretty, pretty and well decoratively cut compote. You can hardly tell that it is pressed glass. The base has a wonderful scalloped bottom. The stem even looks like it's crystal glass. Now who knows about this one? Another piece that had be "put away" in storage and found wrapped up in a box. This neat piece looks Mayan to me. It, I am sure, is a vintage reproduction, most likely early 80's. A God perhaps, I think more of a slave as he seem to be toting a water vessel on his back. In great condition, standing a little over 7" tall.

Just look at the colors! Now that's Italian! What is truly interesting about this lovely little vase is that there is a separate, totally different design and color on the lower base. This vase now holds an aromatic, light Lavender scent in the bath. Signed in paint, ITALY and the number 3014 on the bottom. In good condition with no cracks, nor chips. Measures, 5 1/2' tall, 4 1/2" at it's widest, 3" at the bottom.
