Paper Beads In Vibrant Colors Make this Double Strand Necklace Set a Must Have

The beads in this necklace serve a special purpose ~ one in which I am very much interested in supporting. These colorful beads (excluding the seed beads) are made out of recycled paper by Ugandan Women as part of a program developed to enable them to lift their families out of poverty. The program, called BeadforLife, has a motto: "Eradicating Poverty One Bead at a Time". I am honored to be able to help and will continue to do so.

The necklace is made entirely from these coated recycled paper beads with different colored seed beads separating each one. I added antiqued copper filigree cones to each end and connected the double strands to the copper beaded "S" hook clasp. The earrings are unique as they were hand made with antiqued copper wire in a heart shape. I dangled more paper beads and seed beads from these.

This wonderfully vibrant double strand necklace measures 19 1/2" including clasp. The earrings drop 1" from the ear wires.

I am so happy to have found these wonderful beads and to be able to incorporate them into colorful, vibrant designs. This necklace set, in particular, is multi-colored ~ making it extremely versatile for any time of the year.
