A sterling silver 21x25nn Whale Tail with sterling silver 3mm round beads and cone silver colored bead atop am 8mm Opalite round bead becomes the drop in this necklace set. The drop sits between two glass silver lined seed beads. The progression on both sides of the necklace is two 6mm cultured freshwater baby blue button pearls which have a sterling silver daisy spacer between, then a 25mm Bali sterling silver capped tube bead and then an Opalite bead, pearl, spacer, pearl, Opalite before the repetition begins. A sequence of button pearls with daisy spacers between each one, lead up to a Bali decorative short tube bead which attaches to the sterling silver toggle clasp. The matching earrings contain a sterling silver chain on which are attached an Opalite bead and two button pearls with two daisy spacers, dropping from French ear wires.

The necklace measures 20 1/2" including clasp; add another 2 1/4" for the drop. The earrings drop 1 1/4" from the ear wires.

The Whale Tail looks quite at home with the iridescent Opalite beads and blue button pearls ~ as if it is the star of an underwater show. It's one of my favorite creations and would look absolute stunning with grays, blacks or maybe navy blue. If this necklace looks vaguely familiar, it's because I recreated a necklace in which there were a few components that seemed to detract from the focal 'tail'. I like this rendition much better and hope you will too!
