That pretty much describes this necklace and earrings set! But to be more specific, there is a strand of sterling silver cable chain which intercepts the necklace at the bottom and hangs slightly down and holds a 35mm round silver plated circle pendant which has wire wrapping on half of the circle and a curlique wire on the bottom half of which I placed an 8mm round Qinghai Jade round bead. (Qinghai Jade (or Kunlun Jade), is a kind of nephrite named after Kunlun mountain located in Qinghai China. It was used for the medals for the 2008 Olympics). The outer strand contains more Qinghai Jade ~ 6mm and sterling silver bead capped 8mm round beads which nestle next to 10x10mm Australian White Opal flat square beads. This pattern continues to the sterling silver "S" hook clasp. The matching earrings contain the two sizes of Qinghai beads with the 8mm ones having the same bead caps as the necklace and dropping from a beaded sterling silver ear wire.

The length of the two strands are: 25" for the outer strand including the hook clasp, and 22 1/2" for the chain plus 2 1/4" for the drop pendant. The earrings drop 1" from the ear wires.

Trying to design something totally different and creative is no easy task. I like the way this necklace turned out and think the combination of Qinghai Jade, White Opal and Sterling Silver is a natural conclusion for a stunning necklace. Hope you think so too! It will complement many different colors in your wardrobe, but think it would be particularly lovely when accessorizing blacks, greys and greens, as well as white.
