Stunning Sterling Vermeil Tri color Rhinestone pin by Trifari 'Alfred Philippe' . One of a series of sterling pins with these stones done between 1947-1948. Marked Trifari , Pat Pending Sterling and the number 48, which is the number of the stone setter. All original plating and stones. The plating is in wonderful condition, there are several of the clear stones that have darkened. This pin is 60 years old and that is common with older clear stones. The bow is 2 1/4 inches and 1 1/4 inches wide. Patient was filed in 1947 and approved in Jan. of 1948. Perfect for your collection of vintage pins.
