Vintage Victorian Rococo Style Sofa

This beautiful vintage Rococo style sofa belonged to the same family for 80 years. I acquired it in 2006 and had it repaired and restored. The back top rail had cracked when a heavy guest sat down too hard. The restorer identified the wood as South American Tulip tree. The fabric is a very soft, subtle gold color. The back is tufted. The skirt pediment has a shell like design and the top crest rail has carved flowers, leaves, and a swirl design in the center. The sofa measures 84" long, back is 50" high, the seat is 17 1/2" from the floor and the sofa requires 37 inches from the wall to the front of sofa. The sofa is still on the original rollers. This sofa is fantastic looking and has been sat on only a few times since it was restored.
