Our selection of American Art Pottery, lamps, and vintage collectibles reflects our personal fascination for collecting.
This silk panel mounted on a red rice paper scroll was kept rolled and probably dates to the period they traveled in the Orient. Because it was kept rolled, it is in excellent condition with vibrant colors. It is a nice Mid Century example of the silk embroidery art that is known as Suzhou embroidery. The artist name and mark are also embroidered into the panel.
The scroll is 65 inches long and 17 and 1/4 inches wide. The silk panel is 13 by 18 inches with an 8 inch plain upper panel.
I also have a matching scroll of cranes.
