Antique Chinese Metal 9 hole Flower Frog in Sandpiper Bird Form

Fresh from a local estate, we are pleased to present this Chinese flower frog in the form of a sandpiper or other shore bird. The frog has 9 holes as tubes that pass through the hollow 2 part body castings. The castings have very fine detail as can be seen in the close ups. The metal seems to be a sturdy "white metal" alloy. I can find no mark.

The bird is 6 inches in length, 2 and 5/8 wide, and 3 and 1/8 inch tall and was originally painted in polychrome colors, but only remnants remain. There are a few dents in the body along the front. The worst is about thumb imprint size and was difficult to photograph. All of this combines to give a very nice patina in a finely crafted piece.
