Our weakness for pottery lamps was showing when we saw this gigantic beauty. She is substantial in every way. First, she stands an impressive 4 full feet tall from top of the original shade to the thick wooden base. In between is a full 21 inches of striking MCM pottery in blues and greens that is topped by the 23 inch shade that has a color matched padded fabric band.

The shade does show some wear around the top and will be included in a separate box for the cost of shipping only. If you do not want the shade, the shipping charge will be less. I do think the shade is appropriate for the lamp and some careful cleaning and TLC will allow this to be a presentable shade.

The pottery is heavy clay, not slip cast and in excellent condition. I did find one small glaze pop on the body. There are no other chips, cracks, or repairs. I did not take the lamp apart as all the parts are in good condition and working order. The plug is non polarized indicating at least a pre 1972 date of manufacture and I would think a mid 1960s date would be appropriate.
