Bittersweet Antiques presents this Frank Perri oil painting from his Mexico period entitled "Madonna and Child". Signed in the upper left corner, it was purchased at an estate auction along with the unsigned work I have also listed. The simply framed work is 38 by 30 inches. There are a few areas of minor paint loss that have been detailed in the photos. There is a paint rub in the bottom right corner and 2 paint flakes along the top edge. Perri was an Italian immigrant to the Chicago area in the early 1930's and made a trip to Mexico in the late 1930s. This and the other painting I have listed are from that period. He was active in the art scene in the Chicago area until his death in 1999. I have enjoyed these works and now it is time for them to grace someone else's wall.
