19th Century Chinese Porcelain Export Tea or Wine Pot Qing Dynasty

Fresh from a local estate, we present this Chinese export porcelain tea or wine pot. This was produced for export before 1900 and is not marked as is to be expected on these export items.

The body is hand decorated in a flower and katydid motif known as famille rose. It stands 6 inches to the tip of the top's finial. There is some use associated damage. There several small chips along the bottom rim that do not show when upright. The is a bit of roughness around the spout tip. There is an area of glaze loss or factory blemish on the side of the handle. Lastly there are several small chips around the top opening and an old tight hairline that extends less than an inch. All of these are pictured and sound worse that the overall condition of the piece which is very good and simply shows its age.

This pot is ready for display or to serve the beverage of your choice. I have also listed a second famille rose piece, a kendi from the same estate and it is shown in the last photograph.
