We recently purchased several items from a local New Orleans estate. The couple traveled to South East Asia during the 1950s and 1960s. There are items clearly from China and others from Japan and a few I suspect came from Vietnam. This silk panel mounted on a red rice paper scroll was kept rolled and probably dates to the period they traveled in the Orient. Because it was kept rolled, it is in excellent condition with vibrant colors. It is a nice Mid Century example of the silk embroidery art ...

There are items clearly from China and others from Japan and a few I suspect came from Vietnam. This is a painting on silk from the estate and probably dates to the period they traveled in the Orient. The painting is framed and matted under glass and the silk portion is 10 and 1/2 by 14 and 1/2 inches. There is no visible signature.
